Mogendoura Farm Stay
The property provides the perfect backdrop for the ultimate bush and beach wedding. Guests can enjoy exploring 220 acres, bushwalking including scenic wetlands, mountain bike or swimming and fishing in the river, which is also suitable for canoeing/kayaking. 2 km of private river frontage with a sandy beach is perfect for a picnic. Special packages can be arranged, just ask! Central to Mogo, Bodalla, Moruya Bodalla and Tilba just to name a few South Coast tourist hotspots. Some people like to camp.....like Hipcamp but for close to the same price you get all this and more. But don't despair, as if all three cottages aren't enough? We can discuss camping, campervan and RV options. So spacious and private on the farm and the feeling of a remote location....ticks the boxes. NOTE: TO RESPECT OUR PRIVACY, THAT OF OTHER GUETS, INSURANCE RESTRICTIONS THE FARM AND FARMS FACILITIES ARE FOR PAYING GUESTS ON LY. The Eurobodalla is awash with fabulous places to catch up with family or friends also holidaying in the area.
Otherwise, the South Coast, Eurobodalla is at the farm’s gate: local markets, surf beaches, historic towns, forests, mountains, rivers, the possible adventures are endless. Perfectly positioned between Narooma and Mogo Mountain bike trails......Mountain bike heaven!
Make friends with the wildlife; native birds, wombats and kangaroos, paint, read a book, or just take it easy and do nothing. You won’t want to leave.
Mogendoura cottages are two separate bedrooms, separate laundry with toilet, open planned living and dining, combustion fires for the cooler months, fully self-contained cottages. Suitable for groups or couples.
Introducing our cottages
The Mogendoura Cottages are three self-catered, top quality, brick holiday cottages set well away from the Mogendoura farmhouse with a communal BBQ, children’s playground, cubby house, volley ball net and other outdoor games. Fire pit and cooking pit also available. Each cottage has two bedrooms, a kitchen lounge/dining room, a bathroom with bath, and laundry/toilet and can comfortably sleep six. Not recommended people over 55kg use the top bunks.
Each cottage is ideal for a family holiday or a group of friends. As they are within proximity to each other, this is perfect for family groups or larger groups of friends to get together whilst also providing private accommodation. A new outdoor undercover dining area off the outdoor BBQ provides the perfect Alfresco all year round dining area. If you need extra bed options....just ask as there is heaps of level land behind the cottages for camping, campervans and RVs. If all three cottages don't provide the bed numbers you need for your group.
For additional ambience, there is even a slow combustion fire for those chilly winter evenings. Internal fire wood included in your stay price. Fire and cooking pit adds to your stay with complimentary wood provided for your first night. Additional wood provided for a small fee if required for the fire pit/cooking pit.
Horse Stay & Play
Whilst the farm is not suitable for dogs, we can accommodate your equine mate! We have an 18m round yard for hire and a grassed arena to practice some serious moves. Various options for the horses accommodation.
Sharing the farm with the equine like-minded has been wonderful, with many return visits. You can ride on the farm, exploring the trails, down to the river for paddling, mosing around the creek or pop out the gate for a forest ride. There are many stunning South Coast horse-friendly beaches, just a short 15 min float ride away. The Bingi Dreaming track is a must if you’re coming to stay!
Events
Keep an eye out for the Equine related clinics and workshops at the farm. Trailblazers Tomfoolery hosted their first Horse Endurance event in March 2021 and will be holding another in August 2022.
Horsey accommodation includes a mix of timber yards, a round yard or a small paddock with a dam - suitable for 4 horses (if friends) and the prices vary accordingly. You can set up your own yards or tape them in the designated area if you prefer.
